About Evo-014's Summary  Dec 11, 2552 - Oct 27, 2558

In the chaotic aftermath of the collapse of the Covenant, a multitude of ambitious leaders emerged, each eager to assert their authority and leave their mark on the remnants of a shattered empire. The disarray and power vacuum left by the Covenant's fall created a fertile ground for power struggles and territorial disputes among the surviving factions. With the Covenant's demise, various factions, including former Covenant species and splinter groups, embarked on their own quests for dominance. These leaders and their followers sought to carve out their own territories, secure valuable resources, and establish new orders in the wake of the devastating conflict.

Amidst this chaotic landscape, rivalries and conflicts erupted, as ambitious individuals and factions clashed in their pursuit of power and influence. Battles were waged, alliances were formed and betrayed, and the struggle for dominance became a relentless contest of wills. The shattered remnants of the Covenant's forces engaged in prolonged conflicts, driven by the desire to shape the destiny of what remained and define their place in the new post-Covenant era. This tumultuous period witnessed a complex web of shifting alliances, betrayals, and power dynamics as these factions fought for control, survival, and their own vision of the future.

time The Sangheili-Jiralhanae War

Even with the conclusion of the devastating Human-Covenant War, conflicts persisted both between different species and within species themselves. The war, brought to an end by the tumultuous Great Schism, gave rise to a new era of strife and struggles for dominance.

Following the schism, fierce battles erupted between the aggressive Jiralhanae and the honorable Sangheili, resulting in the decimation of numerous former Covenant fleets. The once-united Covenant's strength waned, and so did much of the hostilities within the Sangheili-Jiralhanae War. Although the conflict never reached an official conclusion, the majority of the fighting subsided within a year of the Human-Covenant War's end.

time Swords of Sanghelios

The role played by the last Covenant Arbiter, Thel 'Vadam, and his Sangheili allies proved crucial in securing victory for the UNSC in the Human-Covenant War. As the war drew to a close, 'Vadam swiftly sought to solidify his political and military influence among his own people. However, he faced formidable resistance from various Sangheili factions who harbored reservations about his newfound alliance with humanity.

Ironically, it was precisely this alliance that ultimately paved the way for the triumph of the Swords of Sanghelios over other remnants of the former Covenant factions, marking a significant turning point in late 2558.

9pm Jul 'Mdama's Covenant

'Mdama emerged as one of the most accomplished former members of the Covenant, commanding a fleet and leveraging the power of Forerunner artifacts to his advantage. 'Mdama's motivations traced back to the early post-war era, when he was captured by the Office of Naval Intelligence and his wife lost her life during clashes with Thel 'Vadam's forces on Sanghelios.

Having successfully eluded ONI's grasp, 'Mdama encountered a group of Sangheili fundamentalists, whom he rallied behind him on his vendetta-driven quest for revenge.

time Keepers of the One Freedom

In 2553, a Jiralhanae Chieftain and Dokab of the Keepers of the One Freedom named Castor led a pack of Brutes in an audacious assault on the human colony world of Gao. Their objective was to seize control of a Forerunner ancilla hidden within one of the planet's cave systems. Despite receiving assistance from local insurrectionists, Castor's plans were foiled by the heroic actions of Blue Team, a group of Spartan-IIs, alongside a small contingent of Spartan-IIIs and the UNSC's 717th Xeno-Materials Exploitation Battalion.

Later that same year, the Keepers of the One Freedom suffered a devastating blow when the UNSC, in response to a staged kidnapping incident falsely attributed to the Keepers, unleashed a nuclear strike on their base of operations. In truth, the abduction was orchestrated by Dark Moon Enterprises, not the Keepers themselves.

time Servants of the Abiding Truth

Following the conclusion of the Human-Covenant War, a power struggle erupted on Sanghelios between the Arbiter Thel 'Vadam and factions opposing his vision of reconciliation with the humans. Among the earliest and most influential groups to rise were the Servants of the Abiding Truth, a deeply religious faction led by Avu Med 'Telcam, who held unwavering reverence for the Forerunners as deities.

In 2553, their early actions posed a significant threat to the fragile rule of Thel 'Vadam, with the potential to topple him. However, the intervention of the UNSC Infinity in support of 'Vadam prevented their success. The Servants of the Abiding Truth were compelled to flee to the former human colony world of New Llanelli. In 2558, 'Telcam met his demise through assassination.

time Tem'Bhetek's Faction

Amidst the chaos of the Great Schism, which tore the Covenant asunder, the majority of the San'Shyuum, known as the Prophets, vanished without a trace. However, one exception emerged in the form of The Minister of Preparation Boru'a'Neem and the Prelate Tem'Bhetek's Faction. In 2553, they devised a treacherous scheme to strike at the Sangheili.

Utilizing Tem'Bhetek's exceptional strength and intellect, they lured the CAS-class assault carrier Shadow of Intent, under the command of Half-Jaw Rtas 'Vadum, into a cunning trap with the intention of decimating Sanghelios and annihilating all its inhabitants. Their plan came perilously close to success, but the heroic actions of Rtas 'Vadum and his valiant crew foiled their nefarious plot.

time Other Factions

In 2554, a Sangheili Zealot named Merg Vol amassed a formidable fleet comprising former Covenant vessels. Guided by the guidance of a Forerunner oracle, Merg Vol set his sights on the moon of the human colony world Draetheus V. To his surprise, he discovered not only a human presence but also a potent Forerunner device capable of planetary destruction known as X50. Although Merg Vol's forces initially gained control of the devastating device, their plans were thwarted thanks to the heroic actions of Spartan-IVs Sarah Palmer and Edward Davis, supported by the UNSC forces stationed on the colony. Together, they prevented Merg Vol and his forces from unleashing destruction upon the planet.

Additionally, within the Halo universe, there have been several unattributed events that have yet to be ascribed to specific factions or groups formerly associated with the Covenant. These seemingly random attacks, while lacking clear perpetrators, remain just as devastating as those orchestrated by known entities.
