Over the past year, Podcast Evolved has seen incredible growth in our communities, be it our Facebook group, Discord server, or following us on social media. That is incredible, and we are so glad you are here with us now. We also realize, however, that most of the greater Halo community still probably has never heard of us, or if they have, they are already in their own Halo bubble and are not looking to expand further. This is inevitable with a community as large and diverse as Halo’s, but we would like to extend our reach to as many Halo community members as are interested in expanding their horizons, and do it in the unique and positive way I think we always strive for here at Evolved.
To do this, we are announcing a new Podcast Evolved Ambassadorship Program. We are looking for a few Evolved community members to become ambassadors for us in other Halo, video game, and science fiction communities, to help spread awareness of Podcast Evolved and what we offer. If you are part of our community already, and are also an active community member elsewhere, you are well on your way to having what we are looking for in an Evolved community representative.
To be clear, this is not a sales job. We aren’t here to overwhelm anyone with Evolved until they can’t take it anymore. We want people who can lead by example. Be an active and positive community member, and let other community members come to you. Just a short mention in your bio or nickname that says something like “Podcast Evolved Ambassador” is all we are looking for. If someone asks you what that means, let them know what Podcast Evolved is and where they can find us. That is it! Just be yourself in the communities you are already in and you are all set!
This program will be somewhat limited to start as we are still testing it out, but if this sounds like something you are interested in, let us know! Here are the qualities we are looking for in a great Evolved Ambassador:
Positivity
You will be indirectly representing Podcast Evolved, so we are looking for people who don’t get into Twitter feuds or post long diatribes about how awful things are. Not judging you if you do, but as a representative of an entire community it could negatively effect us and everyone else in the community.
Activity
Ideally we are looking for people who are very active in other communities so they are interacting with other people regularly. A diversity of communities is good, but if there is one other group you interact with regularly and are well known in, that would be great!
Halo Love
Podcast Evolved loves Halo, and we are looking for community members who do to! I know, that’s probably all of you, but still. This is doubly important for anyone in non-Halo communities. There are so many people who don’t know all that the Halo universe has to offer, and we want our ambassadors to show those people how incredible it is.
Knowledge
This one is less important, but having a good knowledge of the Halo universe is definitely a plus. Even if you don’t know everything, knowing where to find that information (*cough* halopodcast.com *cough*) is helpful.
