Battle of Line Installation 1-4

SUMMARY

The Battle of Line Installation 1-4 was a conflict on Line Installation 1-4, a Forerunner defensive facility that was part of the Jat-Krula, the Forerunner's version of the Maginot Line during the Forerunner-Flood war in August 2552.  The conflict involved Spartan-II Black Team and a Covenant assault carrier who had been shot down by the Forerunner defenses while passing through the sector.  During the battle, UNSC and Covenant forces were forced to make a brief ceasefire to fight off the Forerunner forces led by the installation's monitor, 686 Ebullient Prism, who wanted to vivisect and catalog the humans and Covenant in hopes of finding a cure to the Flood.  Black Team was eventually able to escape and return to UNSC-controlled space.
