The Battle of Alpha Aurigae was a large naval battle between UNSC and Covenant forces in the Origami Asteroid Field of the Alpha Aurigae system, culminating in a UNSC victory.  The human fleet consisted of 117 ships and was commanded by Vice Admiral Preston Cole, while the Covenant only had twelve warships.  Even with superior numbers, the UNSC fleet lost thirty-seven ships before managing to wipe out all Covenant forces in the system.
