The Battle of Circinius IV was a Covenant attack on the planet Circinius IV and Corbulo Military Academy located on the planet. Though the attack occurred over a year after humanity made first contact with the Covenant on Harvest, only a select few were aware of the Covenant's existence due to the Office of Naval Intelligence keeping them a secret from the general population.

The battle was a complete surprise to the people on Circinius IV, forcing an emergency evacuation of the planet and Corbulo Military Academy. Blue Team, led by John-117 was sent planetside to assist in the evacuation, though they were only able to successfully evacuate three people, April Orenski, Thomas Lasky, and Michael Sullivan.
